Dear Ms.
Rowling, As a fan of “Harry Potter,” I urge you to
save Harry from the grasp of Coca-Cola. We love
“Harry Potter” and hate to see your wonderful
creation used by that giant corporation to sell
soft drinks to children around the world. Coke and other soft drinks are
JUNK, and certainly not what Harry would want kids
to drink. They are basically empty calories,
thanks to the 10 teaspoons of sugar in a typical
12-ounce (360 mL) serving. The sugar promotes
obesity, a worldwide problem, and the caffeine, a
mildly addictive stimulant drug, encourages people
to keep drinking this “liquid candy.” Also, soft
drinks may replace water, lowfat milk, fruit
juice, and other more healthful drinks in the
diet. The bottom line: Liquid candy is bad for
health, both for Muggles and Wizards. Please, Ms. Rowling, help us
Save Harry - and protect children’s health! Donate
the royalties from the deal to fund nutrition
campaigns, and stop all future sponsorship by
Coca-Cola! Sincerely,
